Fluid Adventures working with Afadu
May 26th, 2008 by Louis
Two Fluid Adventures team members are headed to Zimbabwe June 12th for a 3 week trip working with a community supported by Afadu. www.afadu.com Afadu has sent about 12, 20′ containers to the community( Lirhanzo children’s village) in Zimbabwe they support since 2004. The latest container ships this week, which normally contains donated items ie medicines, medical equipment, sewing fabrics, machines and accessories, educational and library books, agricultural tools and much more for the community. Our trip starts with an arrival in JoBerg, and the following day we truck about 8 hrs to the border of S Africa and Zimbabwe. The following morning we enter Zimbabwe. With all thats going on presently in Zimbabwe, some feel we should not be going at all, but to the community Afadu supports is very excited and states it is safe for us to come. The contact person in Zimbabwe would not tell us to come if it was not safe. We will spend 3 weeks working in the community and local hospital.
We plan to be aboard the Catamaran in the Caribbean. One Island we have been looking into a project is Isla Grande, off the coast of Panama.
Fluid Adventures will be in the Caribbean area for the latter part of 2008 and 2009. Look forward to having you aboard.
Thanks for all your support
